Branding: Is de-branding the new branding?
Is de-branding the new branding?
Not so long ago consumers could not imagine we would be allowed to interact with our favourite brands through messages, likes, shares and DMs, as we now do.
This relationship shift has forced big corporations such as Coca Cola, Apple and Mcdonald’s to move away from traditional advertising tools into developing community based content in order to feel more personable, relatable and inclusive.
Ultimately, consumers will care about and trust brands which talk about things they can relate to, brands which make them feel in some sort of way – Being it nostalgic, energetic, hopeful or confident.
Logos and guidelines may still be important – but really, the brand’s strategy and ability to promote community growth and value is what successful brands are currently going for.
